Kind, on purpose

The Kind Basket started at our kitchen table in Scarborough.

We kept seeing the same problem. Someone wanted to send a gift to a new mom, a grieving family, or a client, and every basket they found came with a bottle of wine. For many families in the GTA that gift misses the mark, and nobody wants to guess.

So we built baskets that are right for everyone. No alcohol, ever. Food that is halal certified or plant-based. Things people actually use and enjoy.

The name comes from karam, the Arabic word for generosity. In our family, karam means you give well and you never make someone feel awkward about it. That is what we try to pack into every basket.

Every order is packed by hand by our family, and every card is written by one of us. If you ever need anything, you will talk to us directly.

    No wine, no liqueur, no guessing. Our baskets suit Muslim families, expecting parents, people in recovery, and anyone who simply does not drink.

    Every food item is halal certified or plant-based. No pork, no gelatin, no hidden alcohol in the vanilla. We keep a spec sheet for every product.

  • Packed by family

    We pack each basket by hand in Scarborough and write every card ourselves. If something is not right, you talk to us, not a call centre.
